Q: Help my system is running slowly.

A: [do the following steps:]

1. Start by checking your computers hard drive. If you have less the 2gig of space remaining, then remove old files to free up space, uninstall any applications that you don't use, or  upgrade to a larger hard drive.

2. Install or run your anti-virus program and run a full system scan to remove virus. If you already have an anti-virus program, run its online update  to make sure its running latest version. If you don't have a Antivirus Program please install the free antivirus program from Microsoft.  Microsoft Security Essentials

3. Run one or all of these spyware removal programs, "I recommend all of them for a good system cleaning, and then you can uninstall them when finished."
Malware Bytes,  Security 360 Free, and ComboFix

If the free ones don't work then try Spyware Doctor " free to download and scan but you will have to buy to clean"

4. Once your system is clean Run the following free utilities to optimize the system and improve performance:
Advanced WindowsCare Personal Free , and CCleaner.

5. If you dont feel that Microsoft Security Essentials is enough for you the n you can buy one of the following Antivirus programs;  ESET,  Kaspersky, Mcafee Antivirus, Symantec Antivirus

" I don't recommend the Internet Security Suite unless you want the extra features".

TIP: If you use Comcast as your internet service provider, you get a free subscription to Symantic Antivirus, contact Comcast for more info.

Q: My Computer will not turn on.

A: [do the following steps:]

1. Check the power switch as it maybe dirty and/or stuck.

2. Check to see if you have a secondary power switch on the back of the computer, (usually next to the power cord).

3. Check to see if the power cord is firmly plugged into the back of the computers, and into the wall socket or surge protector.

4. Verify power at the outlet or surge protector by plugging another appliance in.

5. Check the plugs to see if they are bent or not making good contact in the socket.

6. Is your computer make any noise?  Put your hand over the fan on the back of the computer.  Do you feel any air moving? If  yes then your computer is running but the problem might be with the computer monitor.
